Armenia will not facilitate the movement of the militants to Ukraine through its territory, the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, wrote on Twitter.
“It is obvious that Armenia, which suffered from the involvement of mercenary-terrorists in Nagorno-Karabakh war two years ago, can never contribute to transfer & deployment of foreign terrorist fighters to Ukraine through the territory of Armenia,” Pashinyan wrote.
On March 28, the Armenian Embassy in Ukraine denied the information about handing over Su-30 fighter jets to Russia.
Earlier, Armenia reported that the Azerbaijan military crossed the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh. Currently, these territories are being controlled by the Russian army. Russia promised Armenia its support if the conflict would spill over to Armenian territory.
Interestingly, in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, Armenia used Russian “Iskander” missiles, which Ukrainians are now very familiar with. Pashinyan then recalled in the interview that “Iskander” missiles “did not explode, or exploded by only 10%.” He assumed that it might be because these missiles were produced in the 80s.
