The First Lady of Poland Agata Kornhauser-Duda visited the Bambino Gesu pediatric hospital in Rome, where Ukrainian children are being treated, and also help to bring six new patients to the hospital.
This was announced by Andriy Yurash, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Vatican.
"The First Lady Olena Zelenska issued two appreciation letters to Pope Francis and the President of the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital for the treatment of Ukrainian children", - Yurash added.
According to Vatican news, on 1 April, Andrzej Duda and Agata Kornhauser-Duda visited the Vatican and met with Pope Francis. During the meeting, the parties talked about humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian refugees.
The Ambassador thanked the First Lady of Poland and her country for their support.
The day before, Agata Kornhauser-Duda visited another center for Ukrainian refugees in Poland, “Centrum Wytchnieniowo-Koordynacyjne w Stalowej Woli”. Here, refugees from Ukrainian orphanages receive shelter, food and the necessary support before being relocated to their final destination.
In Poland Ukrainians will be entitled to many social benefits, including PLN500 per child per month.
