Reinforcing sanctions against Russia and supplying arms to Ukraine do not hinder negotiations for peace, but facilitate them.
This was emphasized by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during an online meeting of the Bucharest Nine, NATO members Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
"Ukraine calls on NATO's eastern flank to focus on two priorities. The first is how to strengthen Ukraine with weapons. The second is how to weaken Russia to prevent it from achieving its goals," the Foreign Ministry said.
The state also insists that Russia must be isolated on all fronts, ruthlessly cut off all its escape routes, and all malicious Russian activities abroad must be nullified.
"Ukraine's victory will mean the victory of the entire democratic world," the ministry said.
Today, the Ukrainian delegation continued talks with representatives of the invading country online. Subgroups joined the work. A face-to-face meeting of the negotiators took place on 29 March in Istanbul.
