Russian troops hit the Odessa oil refinery plant and fuel storage with missile strikes.

“In the morning, enemy launched missile strike at Odesa. Fuel storage and oil refinery plant were damaged”, said Maksym Marchenko in an evening video message.

According to him, there were no casualties. He did not report the scale of damage or other details about the consequences of the raid.

Marchenko noticed that Security Service of Ukraine arrested people who recorded the places where the missiles hit. They will be punishment accordingly. He also said that the Ukrainian defenders are aware of the russians preparing an invasion from the territory of Transnistria, but called it unlikely in the near future.

"We understand, that these actions are aimed at neutralization of the Ukrainian troops in Odesa region in order to frustrate our offensive action in other directions. The intension is still remaining but in near future, the threat of an invasion from this direction is unlikely”, the head of the Odesa Region Military Administration assured.

“Our defense forces control the situation in the region” Marchenko added. 

As a reminder, in the morning of April 3, enemy troops attacked Odessa. Fires have been committed in some areas. The city council reported that some of the missiles were shot down by missile defense. However, residents of Odessa are asked to close their windows, as well as not to share photos and videos of the attack and its consequences on social networks.
