European Union creates plans to revive Mariupol.

In a conversation with Radio Ukraine said the Former Speaker of the EU mission in Kyiv, and now the Analyst of the Research Center for European Values, David Stulik in Prague, reports seznamzpravy.cz.

"The European Union is already creating plans to revive Mariupol so that the city can become a symbol of the revival of Ukraine," - Stulik said.

According to him, the city on the Sea of Azov was the site of many EU investment projects, money was invested not only in the infrastructure of the city but also in numerous cultural projects.

In Mariupol, a year and a half ago, was opened an EU assistance center that looked like a "small EU embassy," financed the construction of housing for IDPs, and job creation projects for about 1.5 million IDPs.

Stulik added that Ukraine will be a priority of the Czech Presidency in the EU. "We will fight like lions for Ukraine to get the European perspective, the prospect of full membership in the EU," he said.

Earlier, Italian Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini said that the government of his country is ready to rebuild the Drama Theater destroyed by the Russian occupiers in Mariupol.

As reported by the British Defense Ministry, Russian troops regroup to focus their offensive on the Donbas and take Mariupol, which "will provide a land corridor to the occupied Crimea."
