In many regions: Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytsky, Vinnitsky, Kirovograd, Odessa, Zaporizhia, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Cherkasy and Poltava regions - the night was relatively quiet. This is stated in the statement of the Regional State Administration of Ukraine as of 8:00 on April 5.
In the Chernihiv region there were a few air alerts during the night, there was no shelling or destruction. Humanitarian aid continues to be delivered to communities in the Chernihiv region, liberated from the occupation. The connection with Kyiv was renewed.
In the Kyiv region, the night passed relatively quietly: the defence forces continue clearing up the territory from the mines in the liberated territories.
Dnipropetrovsk region: a number of air alerts. In the middle of the night, over the Dnipropetrovsk region our AD shot down two missiles. The fragments caused fire in the village of Sinelnikivsky district. No one was hurt.
At the moment the situation in the region is calm.
Volyn: During an air raid last night, AD forces shot down a hostile missile in the sky over Volyn.
There were no casualties. The dropping of the fragments did not cause any negative consequences.
Kherson region: constant explosion in the region. Approximately at 5 a.m. there were strong explosions, information about the destruction and casualties is now being clarified.
The majority of settlements in Kherson region remain in a difficult state as a result of enemy activity, lack of medicines and food, water supply and telecommunications in some areas.
In cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk region, the cities in the north of the Kherson region, the territories liberated from the occupiers, are resuming their activities.
Mykolaiv region: as a result of last night's shelling of Mykolaiv with cluster bombs - 10 dead, including one child, 61 wounded.
During the night, there were air raid alarms in the region.
Rescue operations in the building of the Mykolayiv Regional Administration have been completed (36 people killed, 33 wounded).
Kharkiv: Night-time chaotic shelling of residential areas of Kharkiv continued
In the region: during the day the occupiers shelled Dergachy, Barvinkove, and Chuguyev. Two people were killed in Chuguev.
Evacuation of the population is carried out in Barvinkove and Lozova.
Fighting is taking place in the Izium area.
Luhansk Region: the Russians do not stop trying to gain control of Rubizhne and Popasna. The situation is complicated. Neither emergency medical technicians nor ambulance services can reach some areas of Popasna and Rubizhne. The shelling is very brutal and street battles are still going on. In Rubizhne, people are being buried in the yards. It is impossible to collect the information about the casualties now.
Donetsk region. Intense shelling of Avdiivka, New York, Mar'yinka: grads, tanks, cannon artillery.
Numerous private buildings and industrial infrastructure were damaged. At about 3 a.m. today, an object hit Kramatorsk (a heavy one, we are investigating).
The extent of the destruction and data on the wounded and dead is being clarified.
