The Ombudsman's Office currently has data about more than 15 thousand cases regarding missing people.
The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova reported that according to Ukrinform.
"What about missing people, what we have counted is more than 15 thousand such cases. Because we are recording them, citizens address us and we know exactly, where, who, their surnames, their birth years, where they went missing," – Denisova specified.
Separately, she mentioned that it was hard to provide the exact numbers of those who were killed and raped as a result of the rf's full-scale invasion.
"The cities of the Kyiv region are being liberated now, and we see Bucha, and Borodyanka, and Makariv, and the Sumy region – like Trostyanets and others, – but do you realize how many rf's crimes we're going to discover for ourselves and the world as soon as Mariupol is completely free?" – the Ombudsman said.
Denisova informed that witnesses addressed the High Commissioner's hotline and reported that zachistkas [clearing operations carried out by russian forces on occupied territories – tr.] were ongoing in Mariupol and mobile crematoriums were working. According to Denisova's data, russians are collecting killed Ukrainians' bodies in Mariupol and then burning them in those crematoriums.
Exhumation of the bodies from the place of mass burial started in Bucha. 163 civilians killed by russians have been identified so far. In general, 320 Bucha citizens killed by russian occupiers have been found.
