Security Service of Ukraine urges parents to keep an eye on their children’s messages and contacts since russian occupiers are using under age Ukrainian children to find out Armed Forces of Ukraine positions, reports SSU press service.

Occupiers contacted under age youngster via Telegram messenger in Kharkiv. Russists promised to pay him in exchange for information about UAF positions in the city.

In the Luhansk region two russian soldiers did not use messenger, instead they directly offered money to a 16-year-old teenager for sharing information about UAF positions and transportation routes. Teenager was scared, but the occupiers calmed him down, saying that he is under age and will not be held accountable.

Thanks to Ukrainian security services interfering, teenagers did not pass information to the enemy.

The means of making offenders face criminal liability are currently being considered. In Ukraine the age of criminal liability is 16 years old, in some cases – 14 years old, says SSU.
