While the world hesitates to call the atrocities of russians in Ukraine genocide, the russian president laughs in the face of the world.

Putin notes "heroism" of russian military in Bucha

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the "heroism and courage" of the 64th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade of the russian Ground Forces, which staged a massacre in the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region.

Information about this appeared on the Kremlin's website.

It is noted that Putin named this brigade "Guards" for "heroism and courage, resilience and courage shown by the brigade personnel in hostilities to protect the homeland and state interests in armed conflict".

Adviser to the chief of the president's office Mykhailo Podoliak reacted to this and said that the Kremlin leader was laughing in the face of the world.

"While someone is debating whether russia's crimes in Ukraine can be called genocide, russia continues to laugh in the face of the world. Putin awarded the honorary "guard" title "For heroism and courage" to the brigade stationed in Bucha. For the murder of children and rape of women, you mean?" Podoliak wrote on his Twitter.

On 31 March, the defenders of Ukraine released Bucha from the occupation by russian troops. This town near the capital has become a symbol of the inhuman cruelty of the enemy: the russians killed at least 403 civilians here (the number may increase, as the search for bodies and burial places continues).

Many victims had their hands tied behind their backs, there were traces of torture on their bodies, and many were killed while trying to evacuate - despite the warning signs "CHILDREN" on the car.

In general, according to Bucha Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk, the bodies of almost 85% of those killed have bullet holes. That is, these are not accidental victims of the war, the russians killed them intentionally.

In April, a team of investigators from the International Criminal Court began investigating russian war crimes in Bucha.

Now the city is gradually recovering from the shock, 1.5-2 thousand residents came home. However, it is not a question of returning to a normal, peaceful life. Read more about this in the material of LB.ua "City of pain and fear. How Bucha (does not) return to a peaceful life".
