1bn dollars will be needed to restore all the infrastructure of the Irpin community after the massive destruction.Oleksandr Markushyn, the mayor of the city Irpin, the Kyiv region, which was freed from russian occupiers, reported that.

"As the experts and estimators involved by the Irpin Investment council estimated, the restoration of the damaged or destroyed housing of Irpin will take around 850m dollars. At the same time, the reconstruction of the destroyed city infrastructure will cost around 150m dollars. Therefore, to restore all the infrastructure of the Irpin community after massive destruction, we'll need 1bn dollars," – posted Markushyn in his Telegram.

Markushyn reported previously that russian occupiers damaged more than 1100 buildings, completely destroying 115 of them. The destruction affected 71% of the city territory. According to the UN's Unosat, four educational institutions and three medical facilities were damaged in Irpin.

As the National Police estimates, 30% of Irpin is completely ruined.

Irpin is one of the most damaged cities in the Kyiv region. It was liberated from russian forces on 28 March. As of now, the first phase of mine clearance is completed in the city. Utility workers together with volunteers started cleaning streets, and car traffic and electrical energy supply are being restored.
