The Minister of Defense of Russia Serhii Shoigu issued an order to make the trip for the relatives of the killed occupants free of charge.
The “action” is valid for two relatives of each russian serviceman, as it was informed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“It is exactly how a new form of incentives for military contractors who express their desire to take part in the war looks like: “Two family members (close relatives) of a fallen (dead) serviceperson called for his identification will receive military transportation documents at military commissariats at the place of their residence (location) so that they could travel from the place of their residence to the place where the serviceperson’s body can be identified and return,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informed.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine assumes that it is evident that, in the opinion of the russian commandment, this benefit has to increase the loyalty of the russians in the war on the territory of Ukraine. Especially, taking into account the total delay in promised payments to the russian military and members of their family members.
The russians have been refusing to collect the bodies of their soldiers from the territory of Ukraine and have been concealing in various ways the military losses. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russia has already lost 20 900 troops.
