Sixty people were rescued as a result of a complicated evacuation from the town of Popasna in the Luhansk region.
The head of the Luhansk regional military administration Sergey Haidai reported about it.
“Nowadays, at the end of every day, I say to myself: “yes, we did it.” Because evacuation gets more and more complicated. Indeed, we can no longer get to some settlements of the Hirske community. The blue-and-yellow flag continues to wave over us, but russians constantly shell the route or mine it,” he said.
Haidai added that every trip to Popasna is fraught with danger: evacuation vehicles have repeatedly come under fire from the russians.
“However, 60 locals were rescued today. And in total for three days - 163 Popasn residents. This is a real victory of life,” the head of the Regional Military Administration summed up.
Haidai earlier reported that 80% of the territory of the Luhansk region is occupied and that there is no safe place in the region.
Oleksiy Babchenko, the head of the Hirske Civil-Military Administration in the Sievierodonetsk district, asked residents to evacuate.
