Ukraine demands from the russians an urgent humanitarian corridor from the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.
There are now about 1,000 civilians and 500 wounded soldiers. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk.
“All of them must be taken from Azovstal today!" she emphasized.
The Minister called on the world leaders and the international community to focus their efforts on Azovstal. This is now a key point and a key moment for the humanitarian effort.
Today the evacuation from Mariupol of women, children and elderly people proceeds. Boarding of buses is on Shevchenko Boulevard on the ring road near the shopping center "Port City" at 14.00.
At the same time, Azovstal remains blocked. There are Ukrainian defenders and civilians, many of them are wounded.
