The expert criminalists came to Ukraine from Slovakia, informed Iryna Venediktova, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine.
She underlined that the first group of experts is in the capital already and is ready to help with the investigation of the war crimes, committed by the russian servicemen.
“The group includes Slovak policemen, forensic doctors, and an anthropologist. They will share their time, knowledge, and experience, working in the groups with the Ukrainian colleagues,” told Venediktova.
She added that over 7,600 war crimes, committed by the rf, have been registered for the time of the full-scale invasion.
Today, in the Kyiv region there is also a mission that includes the representatives of the French gendarmery and the medical service of the Armed Forces of the French Republic. There is also a team from the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in Ukraine.
“The work of foreign specialists serves as a sign of Ukraine’s openness. Our goal is absolutely transparent and that is to investigate each war crime, committed by the rf, in order to hold accountable those responsible,” emphasized the General Prosecutor.
Earlier, on 8 April 2022, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Eduard Geger, visited with other European officials Bucha in the Kyiv region and saw the acts of atrocity that russian servicemen committed against the Ukrainian civilians.
