The Prime Minister of Bulgaria Kiril Petkov will visit Kyiv next week with the government delegation. The visit is expected on April 27.
Btvnovinite.bg reported this.
"We expect to arrive in Kyiv on Wednesday, the trips there are a bit special, because of the war. We will fly to Poland, and I can't tell the exact route from there, but there is a special preparation for a trip at night and getting to Ukrainian capital", - Petkov said.
As for the supply of weapons, a consolidated position of the Bulgarian government coalition is needed.
"Personally I would be happy to provide military assistance to Ukraine, but the main task of the Prime Minister is to force this coalition to develop a common position", - he added.
In March, the Minister of Defense of Bulgaria Dragomir Zakov said the country would not provide weapons to Ukraine to fight the russian invasion because it would focus on strengthening its own, insufficiently funded army.
On April 20, in Sofia the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba met with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and the Prime Minister Kirill Petkov.
