The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had a meeting with the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev in Sofia.
He wrote about it on his Twitter.
Kuleba and Radev, in particular, discussed ways to restore peace and development in the Black Sea region.
"We also agreed on the need to strengthen agricultural supply chains to support global food security," the statement said.
The Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs also spoke with the Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, Nikola Minchev.
"I am grateful to Bulgaria for its solidarity with Ukraine. I also thanked Mr. Minchev for his firm position on the EU's sanctions policy against Russia, as well as for supporting Ukraine's membership in the EU," Kuleba wrote.
The agenda of the Head of Ukrainian diplomacy also included a meeting with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Kirill Petkov.
"I thanked him for accepting Ukrainian refugees and for Bulgaria's political support in the EU. We also discussed the strengthening of trade and tourism after the war," Kuleba said.
Last year in November Rumen Radev declared that the occupied Crimea actual belongs to russia.
He then said that russia's annexation of Crimea was a violation of international law, a clear position of Bulgaria in all international organizations, but "currently" controlled by Russia.
In March, Bulgarian Defense Minister Dragomir Zakov said the country would not provide weapons to Ukraine to fight the Russian invasion because it would focus on strengthening its own, underfunded army.
