Ukraine has always considered Transnistria as a springboard from which there may be certain risks for Odesa and Vinnytsia oblasts. Therefore, the military command has thought of everything in terms of defense and intelligence measures.

Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, announced this during telemarathon.

"But Transnistria is a slightly different story. It is not the russian federation. There is a certain contingent of russians. 1500-2000 people, of whom only 500-600 are russians, and others are local. And the locals were integrated through Moldova in European community. In other words, they enjoyed the benefits of open borders, they sold products to Moldova, they could move freely," - Podoliak said.

In his opinion, the involvement of the Transnistrian region of Moldova in war with Ukraine is its potential elimination.

"For Transnistria, active involvement in the war in Ukraine will practically mean total isolation and destruction of such an enclave, which, on the one hand, was like a criminal enclave, and on the other - open space through Moldova, involved in the European community," - the adviser to the head of the Office of President emphasized.

According to Mykhailo Podoliak, Transnistria is currently following the tactics of provocations.

"I think they are more provocative informationally, they make some statements that someone is firing on them there. This is how the russian federation always does," - Podoliak added.

Earlier, Mikhailo Podoliak reported that considers Moldova the next purpose of the russian occupiers.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops in Transnistria have been put on full alert.
