The French experts are helping Ukrainian colleagues, and beginning from tomorrow they will start DNA expertise of bodies in Bucha, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova stated in the Ukrainian TV broadcast, informs Ukrinform.
“The French, they are not in the joint investigation team, but they are helping the experts there, on the Ukrainian side. They came here a long time ago and they should have returned a long time ago, but they have stayed. And beginning from tomorrow they will start DNA expertise in Bucha. So the French group stays with us for 10 more days, then they will be replaced, and then there will also be French [experts],” she said.
Venediktova specified that Lithuanians that are part of the joint investigation team will come this week.
“Lithuania will be [here] on Tuesday, I think. They will come to us and start an investigation under this joint investigation team. And they will investigate with us – both for our and for their proceedings. Interrogations of displaced persons – they will be able to do them there, and we will be able to use these results, and they will be able to use them too. Thus we are saving the time and human resources and are moving quickly,” Head of the Prosecutor General`s Office informed.
According to her, the Ukrainian side also receives help from the group of Slovaks that are working with our law enforcement and are helping them to investigate.
