According to official data, 220 Ukrainian children were killed and more than 406 were injured, - reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine [OGPU].

"These numbers are not final, as we are working to clarify them in the places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the OGPU emphasized.

As per OGPU: the most affected children were in Donetsk Oblast - 139, 

Kyiv Oblast - 115, 

Kharkiv Oblast - 95, 

Chernihiv Oblast - 68, 

Kherson Oblast - 45, 

Mykolaiv Oblast - 43, 

Luhansk Oblast - 37, 

Zaporizhia Oblast - 27, 

Sumy Oblast - 17, 

Zhytomyr Oblast - 15.

"On May 2, a 14-year-old boy was killed and a 17-year-old girl was injured in a missile attack by the russian army in Odesa," the OGPU added.

On the same day, the State Bureau of Investigation reported that 12 saboteurs who planned to destabilize the situation in Odessa on the anniversary of the May 2 tragedy [clashes between pro-Maidan and anti-Maidan groups in 2014 which resulted in 48 deaths] were detained.

As a result of daily bombings and shelling by russian occupation forces, 1,584 educational institutions were damaged; 118 of them were completely destroyed.
