On May 5, Ukraine's air defense neutralized 15 air targets of the Russian occupiers, reported the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Enemy's combat aircraft continue operating at a distance, without entering the airspace controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On May 5, the air defense of the Air Force and Ground Force shot down at least 15 air targets: 14 UAVs of Orlan type and one aircraft, possibly Su-30sm," says the report.

The enemy airplane was shot down in the eastern direction by an anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Force.

During the day, fighter, bomber, and assault aircraft of the Air Force made dozens of flights. Attack groups of aircraft inflict missile and bomb strikes on occupying troops and ammunition depots.
