President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that russia keeps launching missile strikes on Ukraine and asked the citizens not to ignore air raid sirens.
He said this in his video address.
"Russian troops continue shelling our territory, including missiles and airstrikes. Therefore, I am asking all our citizens - and especially these days - not to ignore the air raid sirens. Please, this is your life, the lives of your children. And also, I am asking to strictly follow the instructions on public order and curfew implemented in cities and amalgamated communities,"- said Zelenskyy.
The President also reminded of the ban on visiting forests in the occupied areas.
"They represent a great threat as the russian militaries installed mines and tripwires there," - Zelensky said.
9 May is a symbolic date for the aggressor-country rf. On this day every year, the russians celebrate the victory of the USSR in the Second World War. The Defense Secretary of Great Britain, Ben Wallace, said russia could use the 9 May celebrations to announce a massive military mobilization of reserves for war with Ukraine.
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, the authorities do not plan to implement a curfew on 8-9 May 2022. Starting from 10 May 2022 in the Rivne region, a curfew will last from 23.00 to 5.00 daily.
An extended curfew will be implemented in Odesa and the Odesa region; it will last from the evening of 8 May 2022 until the morning of 10 May 2022.
