Warsaw mayor Rafal Trzaskowski opposes russian celebrations on May 9 in the capital of Poland, stated in his Twitter.
"The Russian Embassy wants to celebrate May 9 in Warsaw and appealed to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for support. I am strongly against it," - the statement said.

According to the mayor of Warsaw, no Polish government agency should take part in this initiative. Moreover, this initiative should be banned.
"I do not consent to the aggressor’s holding a holiday in Warsaw," - said Rafal Tschaskowski.
In Israel it was decided to refuse a traditional parade of veterans on May 9. The decision to cancel the parade was made together with Israeli organizations of World War II veterans.
