The Commissioner for Human Rights, Lyudmila Denisova, told on Telegram that the occupiers continue to terrorize civilians in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhia region. In addition, they conduct filtering measures, prevent evacuations, and loot from agricultural enterprises.

In the village of Chernihivka, the russians want to seize people's land. They force people to fill out a form by 8 May 2022, which indicates the amount of land owned and leased. Only then russians promise to grant a license to use it; otherwise, they threaten that the commandant will take seize everything not included in the form.

In Mykhailivka, the occupiers are implementing their own temporary tax system for entrepreneurs. Those who want to continue working in the community must re-register, following the rules of the invaders. The russians also claim that they demanded only a "military tax" and all other new taxes the entrepreneurs will only pay to the community.

In Enerhodar, the thermal power plant has run out of coal, and it is impossible to organize its regular supply due to the occupation. Also, in this city, the occupation "authorities" have completed residents' registration allegedly to provide them with social benefits. Now they have started registering entrepreneurs. Those who do not pass it will not be allowed to work.

Residents of Vasylivka say that the russian militaries in the city are trying to exchange one SIM card of a Ukrainian mobile operator for gasoline with the exchange rate of 15 hryvnias per liter. In Dniprorudne, two SIM cards are exchanged for a car at once. The reason is that the russian occupiers want to call home and each other, but they do not have the means of communication.

"Terror and cruelty towards civilians in the occupied territories is a war crime defined by the Statute of the International Military Tribunal and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. It is also a violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War." Therefore, I appeal to the UN Commission on Investigation of Human Rights Violations during russia's military invasion of Ukraine to consider these crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine," - said Denisova.

The regional center of the Zaporizhzhia region isn't occupied. In an interview with "Ukrainska Pravda" in May, the Head of the Zaporizhzhya RMA (Region Military Administration) said that the last russian checkpoint was in Vasylivka and Ukrainian - near Stepnohirsk. There is a "gray area" between them with an intersection line in Kamianske. The major combats of the region are in the eastern part of it.

In the temporarily occupied territories, the enemies try to establish their "authority" and jam mobile communication. The region also suffers constant shelling. Besides, russian invaders do not allow to remove the dead and wounded Ukrainian soldiers from the battlefield in the Zaporizhzhia region.
