russian invaders robbed the Polohy Oil Extraction Plant in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region and exported oil that was to be shipped abroad. This was announced by the Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova.

"russian invaders steal Ukrainian products from the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region. Their next victim was the Polohy Oil Extraction Plant. Oil is currently being exported from there. Her company was preparing for shipment to foreign partners who are already experiencing a shortage of high-quality Ukrainian products," Denisova said.

According to her, before the occupation Polohy Oil Extraction Plant was one of the largest budget-generating enterprises in the district.

The Ombudsman recalled that the theft of food from the occupied territories was a violation of the 1949 Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and War Crimes under Article 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. She appealed to the UN Commission.

Ukraine is the world's largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil. Since the beginning of russia's military aggression, exports have stopped. Europe is already preparing for a shortage of this product.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, russia also stole hundreds of thousands of tons of grain in the occupied territories. It tried to sell 27,000 tons of grain to Egypt.
