The night passed relatively calm in many regions of Ukraine: Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Zaporizhia, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Kyiv region.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, late in the evening, the russians fired on the Zelenodolsk community. Several streets in one of the villages were left without light. People were not injured. Details are being clarified. This is stated in RMA head appeal as of 8 am.
The night passed quietly in Chernihiv region, but yesterday at about 5 pm the russians fired mortars at the outskirts of the villages of the Gorodnya community near the state border. Preliminary, there are no victims.
There were several shellings from rocket systems of volley fire near Kharkiv. No one was injured. In Kharkiv district, two people were injured and one died. During the day, active shelling continued in Bohodukhiv and the district: 4 wounded, 3 killed. In the evening the occupiers’ shelling were noted in Loziv and Zolochiv districts: 2 wounded. Fighting continues in the Izyum region.
As a result of heavy shelling in Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Shipilove of Luhansk region, 5 objects were damaged: residential buildings, outbuildings, a prayer house in Shipilove village. Three people were killed in the shelling, including two volunteers from Zakarpattia. Three more were injured. Lysychansk was shelled again at night, details and consequences are being clarified.
In the Donetsk region, Novomykhvylivka, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and settlements of the Ocheretyn community were shelled. As of now, there is information about one wounded civilian in Novomykhailivka. Difficult situation in Lyman and Svyatogorsk TG. Yesterday 173 people from Mariupol and the suburbs were rescued.
Sumy region: the night passed quietly. Yesterday at about 6 pm, during an air strike, the Russians destroyed the largest and oldest Jewish cemetery.
Odesa region: on May 8, there were several missile attacks, mostly airborne. 6 missiles were destroyed by air defense forces.
The missile strike in the region (Artsyz community) damaged the power substation and gas pipeline, destroyed several private houses and damaged recreation areas in Odesa. Unfortunately, there are victims. Details are being clarified.
In the Kherson region, the russian military and local collaborators were actively preparing for the May 9 celebration. In all major cities, the occupiers hung billboards and city lights with Soviet symbols and a call to join the march of the "Immortal Regiment" and combat "hundred grams". In Kherson itself, rushists set up a stage and photos of Soviet times on Freedom Square. There is information that rushists delivered mass ‘actors’ from Simferopol and the so called “DNR”.
Mykolayiv region: the night passed anxiously. Air alarms were constantly announced in the region. According to preliminary information, Shirokivska and Snihurivska communities were shelled during the day. There are no victims. No damage. Most of the shelling was outside the settlements. In the morning the shelling was inflicted on Shevchenko village, the grass is burning, the relevant services are working.
