In the area of Zaporizhya, the russian army intensified air surveillance near the settlements Orikhiv, Gulyaypole, Komyshuvakha, and Yasna Polyana, announced Zaporizhya Regional State Administration.
The occupiers continue to fire mortars, artillery, and rocket-propelled grenades at the positions of our troops, as well as using army aircraft.
"Our servicemen hold the blow with dignity, carrying out successful counteroffensive actions," the regional state administration stressed.
On 7 May, at about 9 pm, russian troops struck a hospital and two dormitories in Orikhiv. During the shelling of the city, the enemy used artillery and multiple rocket launchers.
The shelling caused damage to the Tokmak electrical network cutting electricity in two settlements, 290 households in total.
The situation has not changed in Orikhiv, Gulyaypole, and the other settlements of the Vasyliv district. The ongoing hostilities make it impossible to carry out emergency repairs in these areas, so local communities, unfortunately, remain without electricity.
On 8 May, the russian troops in the area of Zaporizhya used the Heavy Flamethrower System Solntsepyok against their own positions.
