The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, emphasized that Ukraine needs more offensive weapons to regain control over territories occupied by russians. RBC-Ukraina reports that he said this during a meeting of the G7 leaders.

Military vehicles and equipment, which would help Ukrainian troops hold their ground, are no longer enough. Johnson said that the country also needed offensive military vehicles and equipment to regain control over the land.

Earlier, it was reported that Great Britain would provide Ukraine with additional military support worth 1.3 bn pounds (1.6 bn dollars). This will increase assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine fighting the russian invasion.

The United States is also sending another $150 m military aid package to Ukraine. It will include artillery shells, counter-battery radars, etc.

Earlier, the ministers of finance of the G7 countries made a statement on additional support to Ukraine that is worth more than 24 bn dollars.
