Today, on 9 May, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić went to the Kyiv region and visited Borodyanka and Irpin.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that during her work visit to Ukraine.
The RMA's head Oleksandr Pavliuk and the director for humanitarian work Oleksiy Kuleba greeted the European delegation.
The Council of Europe's Secretary General saw the destroyed residential compounds of the Kyiv region settlements.
"Everyone in the world must know about the aggressor's war crimes. Today Ukrainians are standing as an outpost in the fight for the future of Europe and the whole civilized world. And it's very important that our European partners are supporting us. I'm grateful to our honorable guests who came to the Kyiv region on 9 May, the Day of Victory over Nazism. The victory will be ours, and we will rebuild our cities," – Pavliuk emphasized.
Russia was excluded from the Council of Europe in March.
