Canadian premier visits Irpin, Kyiv

The Prime Minister of Canada arrived in Irpin, near Kyiv.

This was reported in Telegram by the Mayor of Irpin Oleksandr Markushyn.

“I just had the honor of speaking with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau. He came to Irpin to see with his own eyes all the horror that the russian occupants have done to our city. And, of course, he was shocked. After all, he saw burned and completely destroyed, not military facilities, but the homes of Irpin citizens, who until recently were enjoying life and had plans for the future,” Markushyn wrote.

He added that he hopes for Trudeau's support in organizing the efforts of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada to restore infrastructure facilities in Irpin. Irpin will address the relevant official letters shortly.

On May 7, railway service between Irpin and Kyiv was resumed, with the first train arriving at the station in the capital's suburbs.

On April 29, Irpin was united with the water supply system of Kyiv, water will now be supplied to the city from the capital's water supply stations.
