The defenders of Mariupol between February 24 and April 15 eliminated more than 2,500 russian occupiers and wounded 5,000 of them. This is without the support of aviation and artillery.
This was told during the press conference by the Intelligence Officer of the Azov regiment Ilia Samoilenko.
"We also destroyed more than 60 tanks and put out 30 of them. This is more than 10% of enemy losses across the country. The same situation with the armored personnel carriers, and artillery systems. And about 50% of all shellings from the russian federation took place in Mariupol. 150 arrivals per day. We had zero support. Neither air, ground, nor artillery support," - the soldier said.
He stressed that the Azov regiment has been analyzing military operations since 2014 in order to explore the best and most effective tactics.
"That is why we keep Mariupol for so long," Ilia Samoilenko stressed.
