Between February 24 and May 8, the occupiers seized 60 representatives of local self-government bodies.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Vyacheslav Negoda.

“37 people working in local governments have already been fired and are relatively safe. Among them are 20 heads of territorial communities”, the statement says.

The occupiers still have 23 employees and officials of local self-government bodies. Nothing is known about their fate yet.

“We regard the abduction of local government officials as crimes planned by russia in order to freely multiply other crimes and deprive community members of the closest support. It is the local authorities, along with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that are strongly resisting the invaders”, Negoda said.

We are reminding, that 1889 Ukrainian children disappeared as a result of armed aggression of the russian Federation.
