Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar declared that Ukrainian militaries will defend Ukraine until the complete victory and the liberation of all territories within internationally recognized borders. She reported this in the Media Center Ukraine.
Hanna Malyar emphasised that Ukraine currently receives great assistance from foreign partners, in particular within the framework of lend-lease. However, Ukraine will face a difficult period of a few weeks or months, until the aid arrives.
According to her, the enemy had a key goal of capturing Kyiv taking over the whole country in a matter of days. This was the first phase of the war and the enemy had failed. During this phase, the enemy used the 24th battalion tactical group (BTG), and its special forces and suffered heavy losses.
“A huge number of enemy troops were concentrated around Kyiv and the region. The Armed Forces struck an absolute blow at the enemy and the first phase was won by Ukraine. After that, the enemy began to use different tactics and strategies in the war with Ukraine. Ahead of us is a difficult and long stage of struggle until the complete cleansing of our country and the establishment of sovereignty within state borders. russia still has many resources that it can use in the near future,” the Deputy Minister said.
The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine has changed its plans in this war. Now the victory means the complete liberation of all Ukrainian territories, not just the withdrawal of troops to positions prior to 24 February.
