Russian occupiers lost more than 70 units of equipment and two infantry battalions with engineers during 4 days of unsuccessful attempts to cross Siverskyy Donets, InformNapalm informs.
"Today in the afternoon, on 12 May, russists tried to evacuate the airborne soldiers of the russian federation's armed forces who got trapped. The ones who managed to cross the Siverskyy Donets river but were dispersed under the fire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' artillery. The russists built a pontoon bridge and predictably came under fire at the crossing. After the crossing for the evacuation was destroyed, the russists abandoned the equipment and crossed the river by swimming," – the volunteer community reported.
As InformNapalm states that the 74th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade (military unit #21005) suffered the biggest losses. Its troops have been participating in the aggression against Ukraine since 2014.
The Ukrainian defenders have destroyed the pontoon bridge over the Siverskyy Donets river. As a result of the artillery troops of the 17th Separate Kryvyi Rih Tank Brigade named after Konstantin Pestushko work, a lot of the enemy's equipment was destroyed. The same day, the General Staff reported that the occupiers were trying to hold their positions on the right bank of the river.
