Today, May 18, a flag was raised over the US Embassy in Kyiv as a sign of resumption of work.
"We are officially resuming work," spokesman Daniel Langenkamp said shortly before the US flag was raised over the Embassy.
The spokesman reported that a small number of diplomats would return first to complete the mission.
However, consular operations will not be resumed immediately, and the State Department's recommendation to inhibit travel remains in force in Ukraine.
On May 8, the United States returned its diplomats to the Embassy in Kyiv. On February 13, it became known that diplomatic staff of the United States Embassy, who remained in Ukraine after the evacuation wave, were moving to work in Lviv.
The Embassy of Israel resumed its work in Kyiv yesterday.
