Ukraine will receive the first 15 anti-aircraft tanks "Cheetah" from Germany in July.
With reference to the Federal Ministry of Defense, spiegel.de writes this was the result of a conversation between the country's Minister of Defense Christine Lambrecht and her Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov.
The aid package includes training support from the Bundeswehr, the supply of almost 60,000 munitions, and 15 tanks to be delivered in the summer.
According to the publication, the training is expected to begin in a few days. It is scheduled at the headquarters of the German Armed Forces in Putlos and Todendorf.
"Today, I spoke with my Ukrainian colleague Reznikov. He once again confirmed that Ukraine would like to receive "Cheetah" anti-aircraft tanks from Germany as soon as possible, along with 59,000 rounds of ammunition," - said Lambrecht.
Earlier, Germany sent Ukraine another batch of antitank grenade launchers and mines.
