Canada will provide another 250 million Canadian dollars (about $ 210m) in loans to Ukraine.
Canadian Government website informs that the Minister of Finance of Canada, Chrystia Freeland, stated this during a meeting of finance ministers and heads of central banks of the "Big Seven" (G7) in Germany.
Ukraine will receive the money through the mechanism of the International Monetary Fund.
Together with the previous payments, the amount of aid that Canada has provided to our country this year is $ 1.87bn.
Freeland added that Canada and its G7 allies would continue to support Ukraine, fighting to defend its sovereignty and democracy.
"Canada and our G7 allies are united in our determination to defend a rules-based international order and to support the brave people of Ukraine. We will continue to work to bring Putin and his allies to justice for their illegal war and to ensure that Ukraine has the resources it needs to win," - said she.
In May 2022, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, declared that Canada would cancel all the taxes on imported goods from Ukraine for a year.
