Canada will hand over 20,000 artillery shells to howitzers to Ukraine, the CBC reports.
The cost of such military assistance is $98m. This is Canada's largest one-time military aid to our country. It is part of $500m assistance provided in the Canadian state budget for this year.
“Putin's full-scale, illegal and unscrupulous invasion of Ukraine cannot and will not be allowed... With military aid, economic aid, humanitarian aid and strong political support in international forums, Canada will continue to support Ukraine," said Defense Minister Anita. Anand.
According to Anand, the shells are compatible with the relatively new M-777 howitzers that Canada has handed over to Ukraine.
It will be recalled that the other day the head of the Ministry of Finance of Canada Christia Freeland said that her state will provide Ukraine with another 250 million Canadian dollars (about $ 210 million) in loans.
In early May, the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau announced the preparation of new military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
