Russian president vladimir putin has signed a decree on a simplified procedure for admitting residents of Zaporizhia and Kherson regions to russian citizenship, reported by [russian] propaganda media.

The decree comes into force on May 25. In fact, it means the compulsory certification of Ukrainians in the occupied territories.

On April 24, 2019, Putin signed a similar decree for residents of the occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. After that, the russian federation began to conduct compulsory certification of certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions [CADLR] residents.

The russians are also threatening to repress residents of the occupied territories for refusing to obtain "citizenship" of pseudo-republics. In temporarily occupied areas, russian troops are terrorizing the local population: shelling homes, robbing, kidnapping and hostage civilians, and looting. They also deport people to russia or to CADLR.
