In his address, President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine - multiple rocket launcher system, tanks, anti-ship and other weapons - is the best investment in maintaining stability in the world and preventing many severe crises that russia is still planning or provoking. Zelensky also said that the russians' statements about the alleged special slowdown in the offensive are just an attempt to justify their failures in trying to break up Ukraine.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that the Ukrainian army is already using the new generation Caesar [howitzers] on the front line. They can hit the enemy at a distance of 20 km or more from the front line with high accuracy.

The Czech Republic handed over attack helicopters to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, Czech and Slovak defense companies are repairing dozens of armored vehicles from Ukraine, which will return to service after restoration.

According to the press service of the National Guard of Ukraine, yesterday, May 23, a serviceman shot down a russian Su-25 attack aircraft, the so-called "Rook". This was the second russian plane shot down by this soldier in a month. We hope that the score opened by our hero will count more.

Last night, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Armed Forces repulsed nine enemy attacks in Donbass. Three tanks, eight artillery systems, eighteen units of combat armored vehicles, a special armored vehicle and one other vehicle were destroyed.

The occupying forces fired four missiles at Zaporizhia this morning. As a result of the shelling, 62 houses were damaged, one person was killed and three were injured.

The occupiers also fired three missiles at Kryvyi Rih, and in Severodonetsk they purposefully fired at bomb shelters: six civilians were killed and at least eight were wounded in one day. Most of them were near shelters.

Sumy region was under artillery fire and also hit by a missile from a plane that did not cross the state border.

In Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Lviv, Khmelnytsky regions, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions, the night was relatively calm. The state of affairs in other areas can be found in the news Lb.ua.

The wife of the “Azov” regiment commander Denis Prokopenko got in touch with him and says that the prisoners were not abused. However, it is not clear whether Denis Prokopenko had the opportunity to speak freely. Not only the whole of Ukraine but, without exaggeration, the whole world is worried about the fate of the defenders of Mariupol evacuated from Azovstal.

Meanwhile, North Korea has launched three missiles off its east coast, including one long-range missile. The launch came hours after US President Joe Biden completed his first presidential visit to Asia.

The most complete picture of today will definitely be on our website.
