Roman Golovchenko, the Prime Minister of Belarus, confirmed that the republic supplied weapons to Russia. The Belarusian office of Radio Svoboda informed about this with reference to the statement of the official on the air of Belarus-1 channel.
According to him, Belarusian weapons are used not only within the country, but also for the "needs of the Russian Federation."
Mr. Golovchenko acknowledged the difficulties with the export of military-industrial products due to Western sanctions.
"And, of course, weapons are now in great demand not only for the internal needs of the republic, but also for Russia. We have joint programs. Now we are intensively working at imporving of all that we have, doing the scientific research and using the experience of events in Ukraine ", - he admitted.
To remind, after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the international community banned the import to Russia of parts used for the military-industrial complex, which caused the Russians to have problems with the manufacture of weapons. In particular, in April, Ukrainian intelligence reported that the Ural plant had stopped production of anti-aircraft missile systems.
