Russia has lost 30 thousand soldiers in Ukraine already, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

More details on the russian occupiers' general combat losses are in our news story.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov reported Ukraine receiving one of the versions of the 155 mm self-propelled artillery pieces M109.

"I'm happy to deliver the news – the park of artillery of 155 mm caliber keeps growing. Self-propelled artillery pieces M109 of one of the versions have already arrived in Ukraine. It's very high-quality equipment. And its arrival was a result of several countries' cooperation," – the Defence Ministry head mentioned. According to Reznikov, American self-propelled artillery pieces will join three other kinds of heavy artillery that are already used at the frontline – howitzers M777, howitzers FH70, and French self-propelled artillery pieces CAESAR.

According to the General Staff, the russian army is carrying out active hostilities in five directions.

The invaders want to surround Ukrainian troops in the areas of the cities Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk and reach the administrative border of the Luhansk region.

Slovyansk city authorities call on the local civilians to evacuate.

According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai, the road Lysychansk – Bakhmut is under fire but the Luhansk region is not cut off. However, the trucks will not make it between Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk, only passenger transport. "There is a connection, there is access to Lysychansk, the Hirske community, and Sievierodonetsk. Yesterday humanitarian cargo was delivered, yesterday patrol policemen evacuated 31 people," – Haidai mentioned.

Over the day, 37 enemy shellings were documented in the Luhansk region, Sievierodonetsk is under constant enemy fire. There are wounded people, and more than two dozen apartment buildings were damaged.

The rf's army attacked the civilians of the famous Chornobaivka in the Kherson region, six people were wounded, and one person was killed.

Russian troops are incessantly firing at Avdiivka, no building in the city is unscathed.

According to the Operational Command North press service, the invaders keep shelling border areas of the Sumy region from russian territory.

In the country's South on Saturday, 28 May, the Ukrainian Armed Forces went on the counteroffensive and inflicted serious losses on the enemy.

According to Operational Command South, due to the UAF's counteroffensive, russian occupiers are forced to take up unfavorable unequipped defensive positions.

Ukrainian artillery units showed themselves firing from French self-propelled artillery pieces Caesar, and 25th Sicheslav Airborne Brigade soldiers showed the destruction of the occupiers' tank together with its crew.

The occupiers' promises to compensate Mariupol citizens for the reconstruction of destroyed housing in return for testifying about "the UAF's crimes", as was expected, turned out to be lies.

According to the Mariupol mayor's advisor Petro Andryushchenko, currently, they [the occupiers – tr.] demand that people provide documents to prove ownership. Which, as it's easy to guess, are either burnt or buried beneath the debris. Meanwhile, the invaders got thousands of "testimonies" of which they undoubtedly will take advantage. The scheme's details are in our story.

Petro Andryushchenko also reported that russian occupational forces opened a school in Mariupol.

Children don't receive food, electricity is provided by one generator, so computers are out of the question. Three disciplines are taught – language, literature, and math. In russian, of course…

The graduates are promised "DPR" "diplomas" and offered to enter a number of russian universities in economically depressed regions. "The Soviet Union came back to Mariupol in all the bright colors of the Middle Ages and totalitarianism," – Andryushchenko writes.

Petro Poroshenko for the second time was not allowed to leave the country for a work trip as a parliamentary delegation member, the MP's from the "European Solidarity" faction reported.

The National Security and Defense Council named the reason for the salt shortage and its price spike.

"Mariupolis 2" documentary by a Lithuanian director Mantas Kvedaravičius whom russian occupiers took prisoner and killed, received The Golden Eye – a special jury award of the Cannes festival.

The director couldn't finish the film, so his wife did it. "Mariupolis 2" was added to the Cannes festival program after Kvedaravičius's death, two weeks before the festival started.

An exhibition of the occupiers' destroyed military equipment opened at Saint Michael's Square in Kyiv. Most of the equipment at the exhibition was brought from the capital's outskirts, russian used it during the battle of Kyiv.
