The General Staff of the UAF (Armed Forces of Ukraine) reports that the russian invaders achieved partial success in Sievierodonetsk; now, they control the eastern part of the city. The russians are shelling the positions of our troops and continue to launch strikes at the objects of civilian infrastructure.

However, not everything was going smoothly for the russians, even in Sievierodonetsk. The Head of the Luhansk RMA (Region Military Administration), Serhiy Haiday, informed that Ukrainian defenders took prisoners of six russian occupiers during the street combats in Sievierodonetsk.

Haiday added that the russians occupied about 80% of the city, including its eastern quarters.

The main goal of the occupiers remains to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, keep the ground corridor with the Crimea, and block maritime communications in the north-western part of the Black Sea.

However, according to the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Oleksandr Motuzianyk, intensifying shellings and raids and sabotaging operations in the northern direction remain possible.

The enemies equip their positions in the Briansk region 3 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. To know more about the operation situation in other areas read our news.

Mykolaiv City Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych reported that due to the shelling of Mykolaiv, two people died, and two others were wounded.

The Head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA, Valentyn Reznichenko, informed that the rf had launched three MLRS "Tornado" missiles on the Dnipropetrovsk region. The missiles hit the Synelnykove district.

Operation command "North" reported that russia launched six missiles on the territory of the Sumy region.

The United States has announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine.

At the briefing, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said a new aid package, including long-range missile systems, was approved by President Joe Biden this morning. Blinken did not specify the value of the aid package, but the day before, a "Voice of America" correspondent reported that Ukraine would receive $ 700m in weapons.

Soon after that, Biden himself confirmed the information about medium-range missile systems. The US President said Ukraine has assured that these weapons are needed only to deter the russian aggressor from advancing east; they will not be used to target russia.

The US Department of Defense has published a list of weapons that Ukraine will receive within the 11th military assistance package. This is a big list.

On the other hand, the government of Switzerland vetoed Denmark's request to send Ukraine about 20 Swiss-made infantry fighting vehicles, "Piranha III." This is due to the policy of neutrality, which prohibits the supply of weapons to conflict zones.

After russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Switzerland refused its previous policy and joined the sanctions. However, there are discussions inside the country about this.

Ukraine and Poland have agreed to set up a joint defense enterprise to manufacture weapons and military equipment.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, informed that the parties plan to strengthen defense cooperation, develop the Polish-Ukrainian-British Union, work on implementing more sanctions against russia and on border cooperation.

The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories has updated the list of amalgamated communities that are seized or are a part of a war zone. As of 27 May 2022, one community in the Dnipropetrovsk region and three in the Zaporizhzhia region entered the list.

"In total, the list includes eight regions. These are the amalgamated communities of Dnipropetrovsk (7 communities), Donetsk (66 communities), Zaporizhzhia (64 communities), Luhansk (37 communities), Mykolaiv (22 communities), Kharkiv (51 communities), Kherson (49 communities) and Sumy (8 communities) regions ", - informed the ministry.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a video conference with students of the Drohobych Lyceum, where the children of different regions of Ukraine study, and with children who moved to Poland due to the war.

"We will do everything to bring you all back. To bring all of you back while you are still children, not adults, meaning soon. It is essential that you build our country and our future because you are our beautiful future, and it is for you that we are fighting now," - said the President.

Zelenskyy also thanked Poland for the support and proper living conditions provided for Ukrainian children.

Daria Herasymchuk, the President's representative for children's rights and rehabilitation, said that since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 234,000 Ukrainian children had been deported to russia, the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine or Belarus.

Herasymchuk emphasized that such actions are illegal, prohibited by the Geneva Convention and international law, and Ukraine will fight for every child.

Playing in the sandbox at the playground, the children found POM-2 - an anti-personnel fragmentation mine of circular damage. Pyrotechnics experts of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) neutralized a mine at the site.

The SES did not name the municipality where the ammunition was found.

This was a sad "Children's Day," traditionally celebrated on the first day of summer…

We hope that the national team of Ukraine will win on the football field today. Twenty-five minutes before the end of the game with the national team of Scotland, Ukraine was winning 2: 0.
