Russian militaries who robbed the homes of Kyiv residents and sent looted goods to their relatives by postal services from Belarus faced charges.

The press service of the National Police of Ukraine reported this information.

Investigators have established that the militaries of the russian armed forces were involved in the looting of apartments of residents of the Bucha city amalgamated community. The militsaries of the №6720 Rosguard Military Unit were among the looters. This unit is a so-called "elite unit" founded by and directly subordinated to the rf President.

It was them who stole the property of Ukrainians during the occupation.

"At the same time, they did not leave behind anything; they stole financial savings, jewelry, computers, or household appliances and underwear.

So far, law enforcement officers have identified ten russian military looters who received notifications on the suspicion after appropriate consultation with prosecutors from the Prosecutor General's Office. They are charged with violating the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Such actions are punishable by up to 12 years in prison.

Putin noted the "heroism" of the russian military - rapists and looters who conducted a massacre in Bucha.
