Last day, rescuers of the Kharkiv garrison of the State Emergency Service made 26 operational trips, 14 of which were to extinguish fires, reported on Facebook by the State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region.
It is noted that seven fires were caused by artillery shelling by the occupiers.
"Fires caused by enemy shelling occurred in Izyum (5) and Kharkiv (2) districts of the region. Private houses, farm buildings, garages, businesses were damaged," the statement said.
Yesterday at 7:37 pm a private house and a farm were set on fire due to enemy shelling in the village of Tsyrkuny. The area of the fire was about 150 square meters. The fire was extinguished by three fire and rescue units at 9:10 pm. At least one person is known to have been injured. The information is being clarified.
Around 6 pm, Balakliya was shelled, resulting in two fires in the private sector. Immediately after their liquidation, the rescuers received a call about the projectile hit on the territory of one of the enterprises. Rescuers who arrived on the scene found that there was no fire, but a garage of 300 square meters was destroyed. SES officers rescued three people from the rubble, including one victim.
In addition, at about 10 pm, as a result of careless handling of an unknown explosive device, an explosion occurred on the territory of one of the enterprises in the Nova Bavariya district of Kharkiv. As a result of the explosion, one person died and another was injured.
Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service eliminated 14 enemy munitions during the day.
