Energoatom continues managing the operations of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Plan, but the invaders are increasing pressure on the station’s staff. This was announced on the national telethon by Energoatom’s president Petro Kotin, Ukrinform reports.

“The situation is controlled by Energoatom: technical situation, radiation safety. We control repairs and operation of the station, and the station staff works according to our instructions,” Kotin said.

According to him, the invaders continue to demand coordination of actions of the station staff with their commanders but they do not interfere in the work of the station.

“Of course, there is a danger as their actions may be unpredictable. But so far, we have no preconditions for the Zaporizhzhya Plant to be disconnected from Ukraine’s energy system,” the head of Energoatom commented.

He noted that the staff of the station is working under pressure from the russians, which has recently increased.

Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant is currently in a critical situation with no means to ensure the stable and safe operation of the plant. There are almost no spare parts and consumables.

Energoatom also stated that the shutdown of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Plant is impossible.

Zaporizhzhya Plant has been temporarily seized by russian troops since 4 March. Apart from the russian military, Rosatom representatives have been illegally staying at the plant site for a long time. There are currently about 500 russian soldiers, heavy equipment, tanks, and explosives at the plant.
