The russian army is turning Donbas to ashes, destroying all infrastructure there.
Journalists from the Ukrainian Witness project, who visited Pokrovsky near Bakhmut, asked the Ukrainian Armed Forces why the russians were destroying the region's infrastructure.
The video of the Ukrainian Witness shows the village of Pokrovske, located on the outskirts of Bakhmut.
Currently, the situation in the Bakhmut direction is steadily tense: units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding this section to prevent the russians from cutting the route to Lysychansk and creating a "crater" [trap- tr.]. Attempts by the кussians to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of there continue around the clock. To do this, they use barrel and jet artillery as well as aircraft.
Even during the filming of this video about Pokrovsky, they have recorded several shellings using large-caliber weapons. The roar of shelling during the video did not subside.
"In Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy regions, and a piece of Donbas russian forces were dispersed. But here, there is a very large concentration of both troops and firepower. It was possible to shelter there while they just dismantle it all here," a military man with the call name Baida said.
As the fighter explained, the tactics of the Russians was to completely destroy the infrastructure. Donbas is no exception: they destroyed the village of Pokrovske almost entirely.
"Where infantry cannot pass, everything is dismantled to the ground," Baida said.
According to him, this is done so that the people lose any shelter.
Baida also called for the evacuation of those in the war zone: "Everyone is clinging to their homes until one of the walls falls on their head. Get evacuated!"
