Russia shells Chernihiv Region again

The Russian army once again shelled the border area of Chernihiv Region at around 1 p.m. on 8 June.

Border guards registered four explosions in Hirske, presumably caused by artillery fire from Russia's Novyye Yurkovichi, the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, said on Telegram.

No casualties or damage have been reported as of 4 p.m.

The latest shelling of Chernihiv Region was reported on 6 June.

At around noon, the Russian military also shelled Sumy Region, ruining a border service office which has not been used since the start of the full-scale invasion. Another shelling of Sumy Region was carried out between 5 and 6 a.m.
