The Interior Ministry has said that the russian special services are sending out provocative messages to Ukrainian servicemen to intimidate them and destabilise the situation.
"Attention! The enemy is sending out threats. Do not fall for provocation! The special services of the russian federation are trying to intimidate Ukrainian servicemen by sending out texts with threats to their private phone numbers. They include calls to breach oath, lay down weapons, surrender or defect," the ministry warned.
To enhance the effect, the texts mention servicemen's personal information, such as names, tax codes, registration and family details.
The messages are sent via SMS or mobile messengers, such as Telegram, Viber, Signal or WhatsApp.
