The 109th day of the Ukrainian nation’s heroic resistance to the Russian military invasion began. The enemy did not take active action in the Volyn and Polissya directions.

In the border area of Belarus, efforts are being taken to equip border checkpoints and deploy additional means of electronic warfare, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in its morning report on Facebook on 12 June.

There have been no significant changes in the Kharkiv direction. Russia is systematically firing on the Defence Forces’ positions to impede their advance. In addition, the enemy fired on civilian infrastructure near Vernopillya, Ukrayinka, Petrivka, Chepil and Khrestyshche. They carried out an air strike near the village of Mospanove.

"In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy carried out systematic artillery shelling in the areas of the settlements of Petrivske, Nova Husarivka, Kurulka, Dolyna. They are trying to gain a foothold in Bohorodychne, fighting continues," the General Staff said.

The enemy did not take active action in the Lyman direction. The occupiers increased the intensity of barraging, including with rocket-propelled grenade launchers, in the areas of Shypylivka and Dronivka. Russian troops are regrouping there.

The enemy continued its assault on the city of Severodonetsk but without success. Fighting continues in the Toshkivka area.

"In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired on our positions with mortars, artillery and rocket artillery in the settlements of Komyshuvakha, Hirske, Mykolayivka, Belohorivka, Novoluhanske. Enemy aviation struck near Pokrovskyy," the report reads.

Enemy attacks in the areas of Vrubivka and Mykolayivka were unsuccessful. The occupiers faced fierce resistance and withdrew. Ukraine’s defenders successfully repelled the enemy assault in the Vasylivka area. Russian troops suffered losses and retreated to their previous positions.

The enemy did not conduct active hostilities in the Avdiyivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhya areas. They shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Zhelanne, Avdiyivka, Karlivka, Vuhledar and Orikhiv. The enemy deploys additional units in some areas.

In the South Bug direction, the enemy was on defenсe, firing on Ukrainian units with artillery, mortars and multiple rocket launchers. They tried to perform counter-battery fire. The russian occupiers cynically shelled the settlements of Tverdomedove, Bereznehuvate, Kobzartsi, Kvitneve and Luch.

"Over the past day, the enemy's losses amounted to 10 tanks, 16 armoгred combat vehicles, seven UAVs, more than 10 vehicles and up to 150 troops," the General Staff added.
