About 500 people remained in the shelters of the Azot factory in Severodonetsk., announced Mayor Oleksandr Stryuk.

This plant, which specializes in producing chemicals, is constantly under fire. The internal communications system was damaged by shelling, so the only information about people sheltering on-site comes from the military.

It is becoming more and more difficult to defend the city every day, as the russians are bringing in new equipment and trying to attack from several directions.

"Roads with Lysychansk are being shelled. The guys are holding on, but it's difficult because the city is constantly being shelled along the line of contact," Stryuk said.

The russians have concentrated their main strike forces in the north of the Luhansk region and are trying to attack in nine directions simultaneously.

The occupiers aim to completely capture Severodonetsk and invade Lysychansk to take control of the Luhansk region.
